Enquiries and contact

We receive information from you. When you request an offer, we use your name, email, delivery postcode, city and product choices to reply and discuss price, transport and delivery. Phone number and message are optional. Required fields are necessary to process an enquiry through the form; you can also contact us by email. No account is needed, and an enquiry creates no payment or binding order. Do not send card details or sensitive personal information.

Preparing an offer and following up a possible contract is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR: steps taken at your request before a contract. Other correspondence is handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding and providing customer service (Article 6(1)(f)). Your details do not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

Storage and recipients

Enquiries are stored in the website’s protected administration system and sent to our email. Hostinger provides website hosting and email services. People handling the enquiry or necessary technical operation may access information for those purposes. Submitting an enquiry does not book transport or send payment details to a payment provider. If you later order, delivery and payment are agreed separately.

Retention of an enquiry depends on whether an offer is still being followed up, whether it results in an order, and whether the information is needed for a complaint or legal claim. Accounting documentation for a purchase is subject to statutory retention requirements. Contact us to ask what is stored about your enquiry or request deletion.

Secure operation and cookies

The website uses technical information for secure operation and protection against misuse. The form’s submission rate limit uses an encoded identifier derived from the IP address, lasting 10 minutes. This protects the service against spam and misuse on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). Essential cookies preserve language, basket and session; see cookies. The website does not use advertising pixels or traffic-source tracking. We do not use automated decisions to determine whether you can enter into a purchase agreement.

Your rights

Contact post@modernetre.no for access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing. Deletion may be limited by legal retention requirements or necessary legal claims. Where the conditions apply, you can obtain information you supplied for a contract in a machine-readable format (data portability).

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also request information about the balancing of interests. You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
